Are you all shocked that I got these layouts posted from our last workshop before I leave town. Actually I am pretty shocked myself. Sorry that they are not the best photos of the layouts. I had to photograph them after dark and could not spend much time getting them just right. Please forgive me this one time.
Hopefully you will be able to finish your layouts if you didn't get them done and this should give you photo suggestions for your layouts.
Have fun scrapbooking while I am gone. Once I return watch for me to post details on "Color Me Monday" which is color suggestions from founder of Close To My Heart. It will be fun I promise.

Cards for a Guy

Here are some cards we made at the last workshop. Card 1 is from "Originals" and card 2 and 3 are from out new card program "Wishes"

May Kit of the Month-"That's Amore"

I have gotten so behind on posting the workshop layouts due to our kitchen remodel project. Which by the way the kitchen is coming along. We are still not done but everyday we get closer and it's starting to feel like it's all been worth it. I will post a photo of my new kitchen when we are completely done. So this first layout is a great format to use for my daughters last dance photos. The left hand side I used a 8x10 photo to highlight she and Seth.

Layout 2 comes from Imagine. I used some photos from my trip to Europe with my girls two years ago. As I was putting photos on this layout it brought back so many great memories of our trip. This paper pack was a perfect fit for these photos.

Layout 3 is also a very fun layout. I am still looking for the perfect photos to put on this layout. So I will have to re-post this layout when I find those perfect photos. I am just to the point of my life that I can't really put any photos of my girls and there "Guy Friends" on the layout because they really don't know what love it. Some days they think they do but really when they find that true "Love Story". Let just hope that is a few years down the road.

The items used to create these layouts are compiled in a kit. Email me at myhandsyourheart@aol.com the kit contents and shopping list.

April Kit of the Month "Stardust"

This kit is so perfect for any sport layouts. Here I used it for Brandon's football season. I still have to journal-yikes that is the thing I hate to do. I will never be a good journalist.

Layout 2: It took me several weeks to get this layout done because it kept raining and so many of our games were cancelled. So when the games are cancelled that means no photo opportunities for mom. Actually speaking of rain you probably can't read it but part of the journaling (yes I actually did some journaling) I found this quote that I love and it worked perfect with the season. "Some days you win, some days your lose...and some days it rains....BULL DURHAM
Layout 3: This layout I just used different photos of Brandon in the backyard being a kid. So besides this being a perfect sport kit you can also use it for just about any occasion or event.

Forever Strong

I always love a movie with a good message. When you have teenagers and you happen to have the teenage hang-out house I try really hard to buy movies that can be watched in mixed company. I would highly recommend this movie.

I love the message in this movie. This is one of those movies I could watch over and over and over. I don't want to give anything away but if you are looking for a good family movie to add to your video library or just want to rent something uplifting and appropriate for the entire family give it a try.

When I get a chance I like to have a "CLAIM TO FAME". So I like to think I have a small bit of claim to fame with this movie. The movie was filmed here in UT. It's based on a true story and the coaching techniques of Larry. Coach Larry (the actual coach not the actor) was part of our travel group that cruised through Europe last fall with us. I had the chance to talk to Larry on or trip and was able to get to know him. He is truly a great man and instilled great values in each player. It is such an honor to know him and I learned so much from him.

With my kids all in sports my new motto which comes from the movie is "The Greatest Victories are Born in the Heart"
