Need a card for Father's Day? Here is one that works up quickly. It also doubles as a bookmark. The B&T has sewing on the front of the card and acts as a pocket for the bookmark.
Perfect gift for dad is this card with his favorite book. Below is a list of supplies I used to make the card. Feel free to make as many as you want for those great guys in your life.

Graduation Card
I have several graduation announcements arriving so I decided I better work up a quick graduation card. It's a pretty simple card and can be used for male or female. I just made the cap out of black cardstock. The diploma was made by rolling up the B&T paper and then I tied it with back waxy flax. If you have questions let me know.
Below is a list of items used to make the card:
June SOM "Tender Tags" (Can be ordered starting June 1st)

The Chocolate Calculator
YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH
A good friend sent this to me. It's fun so give it a try.
It takes less than a minute . Work this out as you read ..Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 ..If you haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number The first digit of this was your original number(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week)..
The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

From the Ground UP
Well, there has just not been one moment to blog. In between the kids sports, life, CTMH and this kitchen project I don't know where the last few weeks have gone.
Looking back we have come a long way. However, we still have tons more to do. I have to say we have become very creative using our crock pot, griddle and grill. The kids have all appreciated what we have and can't wait for the first home cooked meal. Well the cabinets are in. I don't think any of us realized how difficult this would be and we have all come to the conclusion that we would have failed as pioneers. We just want our kitchen sink and oven.
I must say I love the cabinets. All the drawers have pull-outs. Alyssa is a really good at organizing so she has been helping me all week get things out of my CTMH boxes and into the cabinets. We are awaiting the counter tops to be made. I will update you again when we have some appliances in and countertops. Hopefully that will be soon. I have to go pick out the kitchen sink tomorrow. Really it would have been so much easier just to move. However, it's starting to come together and it's going to be worth it.
