Cherish the Day Artwork: Nov SOTM

These beautiful cards were made by my amazing upline Karen Pedersen
Team retreat has been over for one week and I am still unpacking boxes.  Good news is that I really am almost done unpacking all those boxes.  I am so slow these days at getting things done.  I am finding I just can't focus on one things these days.

As I mentioned before I will be adding retreat artwork as we go along.  Some of the artwork uses different "Stamp of the Month's" and paper packs so I will add those to this blog at at the appropriate months.

My wonderful downline Kris Keys made this beautiful card.
I love this card for weddings and special occasions.

Today I wanted to start with the November Stamp of the Month.  We did a little swap at the retreat that was so fun.  Such a talented bunch of ladies I am proud to associate with.

When I first got this stamp set I was actually scratching my head wondering what in the world I was ever going to do with this set.  WOW just look at the beautiful artwork these ladies came up with and I am so very excited about this set.

This card is super fun for the autumn holidays.  It was created by my sideline Kimberly Deines

This amazing home decor piece was made by my amazing downline Susann Eaton.   This creation is so amazing.  It was stamped with white daisy ink onto black cardstock.  Once dry she put it in these black frames and then added the sparkles onto of the glass.

November Stamp of the Month can be ordered on my WEBSITE through the end of November.
Any questions I can answer for you just drop me a note at myhandsyourheart@aol.com

Amazing Cards and Facebook

Well I am a complete slacker.  I must say I have completely neglected my blog this last week.  I have had a few things I have been dealing with that I will tell you about later.  With everyone back to school you would think I would have tons of time, but it has been just the opposite.

CARDS:
So before the weekend gets completely away from me I wanted to share some happy mail I received a couple weeks ago.  Below are two of the most amazing cards sent to me by my dear friend and upline Karen.  With Karen's permission I am posting them here.  She used SONOMA paper pack, Cricut ART PHILOSOPHY cartridge  and the September STAMP OF THE MONTH.

Love making these flowers with the Cricut Art Philosopsy cartridge.
FACEBOOK:
Well I have several projects right now on my drawing board using these type of flowers because I love making them so much and they are so easy with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I will post them on my facebook business page.  Yes I finally went live with my Facebook business page.  There will be  lots of fun activities, tips, tricks and more on my facebook page.

So make sure you "LIKE" my page so you will not miss anything.  Also the feed from this blog goes directly onto my facebook page so you will be able to see everything in one place.

Convention, Cricut, and Cool Stuff

Just returned from our annual Close To My Heart convention.  It was so fun and amazing other than the fact I got very nauseated on the flight  home and have not felt too hot the last couple of days.  Therefore I have just been hanging out and taking it easy.  I just wanted to give you a few sneak peaks into the new Idea Book that we will available Aug 1st.
We had a couple of create and take sections at convention and made this layout and cube.

There is so much fun stuff I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks but I do want to give you a sneak peak at something that all of you will be so excited about.

CTMH has teamed up with Cricut to provide you with our very own CTMH exclusive cricut cartridge bundle with 3 coordinating stamp sets, coordinating chipboard shapes, and over 700 images and a font - it's an amazing cricut cartridge with 6 function features - it's maxed out. 3-D flowers, flourishes, shapes that coordinate with stamps from the Idea Book  - which are called out in the Idea Book outlined in red so you can see which stamps would coordinate with the cricut shapes easily. Plus if the stamp coordinates, the SIZE setting you need to use on the cricut to cut the coordinating shape is printed right on the stamp set liner next to the image picture. It's amazing and you will love it.

Below is a quick video explaining the new cartridge "Art Philosophy"-Enjoy

Here is a card I got from CTMH when I attended the directors dinner.  I LOVE these rolled flowers we can make with the cartridge.  HOW fun will that be.

New Idea Book and new items will be available Aug 1st.  Check back soon as I will be announcing some exciting specials as well as posting my Studio J virtual classroom.  Let me just catch my breath first.

Have a fantastic day and remember you are always "Close To My Heart"

What a great weekend I just had.  CTMH hosted a "Team Builders" conference for all directors and above.  It was a fantastic event.  We were pampered and spoiled all weekend.  Trust me I really  needed this.  The food and friendships were just priceless.  The purpose of the event was to meet with CTMH corporate team and discuss a new compensation plan and other areas of hte business with the leaders of CTMH.  It was a fantastic conference.  I am very proud to represent CTMH and have to say it's been a great blessing in my life.  The friendships I have made in this company is like nothing else in this world.

Believe me I really need these friendships right now to keep me strong and moving forward.  So big THANKS so all my CTMH peeps. Whether you be a consultant, downline or customer-  You all ROCK.

Hanging with some of my BFF Pam and Karen.

Greatful and Phase Two of Treatments

I am so very grateful for so many things, but especially so grateful for each of you.  There was a knock at my door a couple weeks ago.  I went to the door and to my surprise it was my lovely downline Sharon.  I was so surprised and thrilled to see her.  She handed me this beautiful card and said to me we all missed you at "Leadershare".  WOW I was so surprised.  Leadershare is a CTMH event that was held a few weeks ago in Ogden and due to limited registration I was unable to get registered in time to attend, but had many fall clean up activities planned with my husband that day so was feeling OK for not getting registered in time.

After Sharon left I found a relaxing spot and opened the card expecting to see a couple of signatures.  However to my surprise I opened the card to find the card completely filled on the inside and back of card with signatures of those that attended "Leadershare" expressing so much love, thoughts and prayers my way.

I have to say there was so much power of love in that card that I just wanted to thank all of you so much and express to you how touched I was.  Actually to be honest I could feel so much love and support that it made me cry.  It's OK because Fred was out of town so it was a much needed cry. So THANKS so much to all of you that signed and sent wishes and prayers my way and thanks to the person who made the beautiful card.

TREATMENT UPDATE:  Well while I am here blogging away I have had many want to know the latest on our treatments so I will quickly update you.  This last week was a difficult and emotional week.  We had some big appointments and had to make the decision to do radiation.  The doctors feel this is the prime time to radiate while the tumor is as small as possible in order to kill that ugly thing as much as possible.  We have known all along that we would probably have to do radiation, but it's just scary.  I realized that I need to exercise more faith.  I know that fear and faith can't exist together so I need to pick one or the other so I better pick faith.

Anyway, radiation will be a daily treatment for the next six weeks.  Our Oncologist admitted to us this week that Fred did better on his chemo treatments than any of the doctors ever expected, so I know that is because of the power of prayer.  Thanks so much to all of you that remember us in your prayers and different prayer rolls and we know we have an army of support behind us.  Have a wonderful day, I love you all and keep praying-teeheheh.

Thank You Card and Treatment Tuesday

Just wanted to take a minute and thank all of you for the many acts of kindness, service, thoughts and prayers you have all showed us. They have been appreciated so much and we are deeply touched.   So I made you all this quick thank you card.  So instead of getting it in your mailbox you get it here instead.  hahah.
We are doing great.  Today we had our second treatment.  Fred tolerated it very well.  In fact he was multi-tasking and he tried to get some work done while receiving treatment.  I kept busy watching the chemo drip in and I worked on a applique quilt.  After all we don't believe in wasting time.  Perhaps by the time we are finished with the chemo I will complete the quilt (don't hold your breath)
Alyssa stopped by after getting off work to see how we were doing.  She always does a great job in cheering anyone up with her happiness.
We discovered last time that the fatigue was the biggest side effect.  Therefore we are trying different things this time with nutrition and taking lots of walks to get the chemicals circulated and out as soon as possible.  Therefore I have a little message for all those cancer cells.  Just give up and die cause you will not win this battle so just give up NOW.

Thanks for stopping by.  We are getting into a routine but want to thank all of you so much.  See ya soon.

Scrunch Flower-Tutorial

Click on images to view details
Here is my take on this weeks MoJo Monday. You can view the sketch HERE. I love this stamp set so I decided to make a fun baby card. I wanted to teach you how to make scrunchy flowers (at least that is what I call them). I have seen several takes on how to do them. At first I didn't like them but once I started playing around with them and added my own style I love making them now.

They are so very easy and fast to make. In fact my son just asked me "Hey, mom how long did it take you to make that puffy thing" So I told him "First of all Brandon it's not a puffy thing it's a schunchy flower and I made it in just a matter of a few minutes."

Here is the side view of the "scrunchy flower" or if your name is Brandon it's a "puffy thing" Haha. Click on SCRUNCH FLOWER-TUTORIAL to download the tutorial and instructions.
The following items were used to make the card. The items can be view by clicking of each link.
Thanks for stopping by. If I can help you with anything please let me know. Have a wonderful weekend.

Expo Create and Take Projects

Here are the create and take projects we did at the expo this last weekend. They are very simple and if you recreate them you might want to add some more accessories and bling. We have to keep things very simple at the expo in order for everything to run smoothly.

This first kit is "Caboodle". The card sketches were taken from Wishes, and the layout from Cherish.

This is just a great kit for all your Sping needs. You can use it for Easter, Spring or Baby things that you need to create. It's a perfect kit for just about anything. Don't forget the must have stamp set we used with this kit. D1415 Springtime

Next up is the "Veranda" kit. With these cards and layout we used a couple of stamp sets. C1397 Smiles and D1416 State of Mind.

Ohhh the great possibilities this kit has. I love it for just about anything. The kit looks great with sepia photo. You can use this kit for Mothers Day, anything Spring or just about any occasion. It's so universal.

OK are you ready for some real fun? This kit is great for all those boy layouts you need to do. The kit is "You Rock". It's a very universal kit in the fact you can use it for just about any occasion, but of course it works great for those wild and crazy boys we all have. This is the perfect kit to scrapbook or make cards and tell those boys what a superstar they are.

Lets Talk About LOVE-part 2

As promised here is part two of the mojo Monday challenge. Scroll down for part one. My daughter has a birthday this Friday, so as I was making this card a light went on in my little brain and thought. WOW- I already have her birthday card ready to go.

YIPPEEE, nothing like being a few days ahead.

I used a different stamp set on this card. I used our February Stamp of the Month "Piece of Cake" The other items are the same as I used in my first post. The cake image I white embossed. OK, OK I have a confession to make. I have not embossed for several months. I forgot how fun it can be.

Anyway, have fun creating and let me know if I can help you in anyway.
